Michael Braxton
Over the past two decades, Attorney Michael Braxton has devoted his legal
career to defending the rights and freedoms of the accused. He has defended
thousands of people accused of DUI and other criminal offenses, arguing
hundreds of pre-trial motions and trying more than 150 criminal jury trials
and countless bench trials. His skill in the courtroom has led him to
secure numerous not guilty verdicts in a variety of misdemeanor and felony cases.
In addition to his impressive record of success in the courtroom, Mr. Braxton
has secured countless case dismissals on the grounds of illegal search
and seizure, destruction of evidence, police misconduct, and other reasons.
He has also successfully defended the driving privileges of Florida drivers
accused of DUI by prevailing at driver’s license hearings. His commitment
to clients and extensive experience is a driving force behind Parks &
Braxton, PA’s ability to secure successful results for clients.
Mr. Braxton began his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in Tampa,
Florida. He later became a partner at a Florida law firm, where he defended
individuals accused of DUI and other crimes. Today, he lectures at Criminal
Defense and DUI seminars, where he has taught hundreds of attorneys throughout
Florida how to effectively handle criminal and DUI cases. He has written
nationally published articles on topics including “Unlawful Police
Stops” and “Excluding Breath, Blood, and Urine Results,”
and has lectured on the topic of “How to Properly Cross Examine
