Andrew Parks
Attorney Andrew Parks is a former prosecutor who now defends accused individuals
throughout the State of Florida. He began his career, which now spans
over two decades, working with the Broward County State Attorney's
Office. He later became the youngest attorney to become partner at the
law firm of Essen & Essen et al, where he focused his practice on
defending those accused of DUI and other crimes.
Mr. Parks’s experience as a prosecutor affords him unique into the
“other side” when he defends clients, specifically those facing
charges for traffic offenses, driving under the influence, and the full
range of misdemeanors and felonies. His ability to create personalized,
strategic defenses and to analyze and challenge the cases of prosecutors
has allowed him to consistently achieve favorable results for those he
serves. Throughout the course of his career, he has tried more than 150
DUI cases, won numerous driver’s license hearings, and argued countless
pre-trial motions.
Because of his demonstrated ability to achieve outstanding results in criminal
cases, Mr. Parks has taught seminars throughout Florida on a variety of
criminal defense topics, including the art of winning a DUI and criminal
case with motion practice, dismantling the State’s DUI and criminal
case, defending a drunk driving case, and more. In addition, Mr. Parks
is an accomplished author. Having been recruited by West Publishing, he
has written nationally published articles on topics including how to use
police misconduct to dismiss a case and how to beat the breath test. He
has also lectured and authored on the topic of illegal search and seizure
by police.
